Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, is one of the most popular destinations in Cusco. Its slopes show red, green, yellow and turquoise hues resulting from mineralization over millions of years. The tour starts very early (around 4:00 AM) to reach the starting point of the hike. From there, you will ascend for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach 5,200 meters. The hike is demanding due to the altitude, but the views will leave you speechless. We recommend being acclimatized in Cusco for at least 2 days before.
