Rainbow Mountain, also called Vinicunca, is a unique geological phenomenon in the world. Its slopes show red, green, yellow and turquoise hues resulting from mineralization over millions of years. Located at over 5,200 meters above sea level, the hike is demanding but the visual reward is unmatched. The challenge of altitude and impossible colors make this one of the most demanded excursions from Cusco.
