Humantay Lake is a hidden gem in the Vilcabamba mountain range, at the foot of the imposing Salkantay snow-capped peak. Its intense turquoise waters contrast with the gray mountains and blue sky. The hike is of moderate difficulty (approximately 1.5 hours uphill), but the landscape will leave you breathless. It is one of the most photographed destinations in the region and the starting point for the famous Salkantay Trek.
