The Short Inca Trail is the reduced version of the classic, ideal for travelers with little time or seeking a less demanding hike. On the first day you will walk approximately 2-3 hours from Km 104 to the archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna, and then continue to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) for your first view of Machu Picchu. You will spend the night in Aguas Calientes. On the second day you will enjoy a complete guided tour of Machu Picchu. It is an excellent alternative for those who want to experience the Inca Trail without the full 4 days.
